Maybe I have found my true calling

I have been cutting my Dad's hair for over a year now, he comes to me every month and we bust out the clippers, grab a towel and get to work. It takes me a while, cuz we are ussually busy chatting away about this and that, but I think that Dad like's all of the special attention. He slaps down a 10 dollar bill and says, "Thanks, see ya next month"... (really I will see him on Sunday for dinner, but we like to keep things very professional) I like to do it, I think that I am good at it and it feels good to serve people... Mmmmm, maybe I SHOULD go to beauty school.

This is one Cute little guy

This is B.J. (I'm not sure if his mom wants us to call him that, but hey... Aunts have rights too)
He is the most perfect little Dude that I know, I just want to squeeze him and hold him and kiss his little face till he starts to cry. I do not envy Josh and Jenn for the long nights and all of the diapers that they will have to change in the next 2-3 years, but I do Envy all of the other things... good thing they live close, so that I can go and kiss on him at least weekly!
Love you little Bennett Joshua!

Super Saturdays

Do you know how awesome it is to have my favorite person in the world living so close to me, Chris is now living with dad, only a few blocks away and get this, its gets better... she has Saturdays off.
Lately Chris has gone all betty crocker on us and has wanted to cook and bake and Can, what ever she can get her hands on. 2 weeks ago it was strawberry jam, last weekend it was Apple butter and this next saturday, who knows...
Sedona, really wanted to just reach in and have a taste, so did I!

Mmmmm, soooo yummy, (and look at those mad photography skills)

I just love the color of the strawberry goo, boiling on the stove,
I just want to paint a picture with it!

...and I had to get a picture of my hair, it seems to just take on a different shade everyday, I think that the red is washing out and its looking more brown... now do I look like I belong in this family of "darkies"

Chris has major plans to wrap these in cute ribbons and give them away as Christmas gifts... cool, I hope that you are on her list!

Jenn looks so good and so happy

I think that he has Jenn's nose and josh's mouth... look at those little tiny fingers

Thankful for ...

Family!!!!
Especially Josh and Jenn, and my new baby nephew, Bennett Joshua Pilch...
Josh called me at 6:40 and said "hey we have a new member of the family"... Just that phrase really makes me soooooo Grateful for my family. We really take good care of each other. I can't wait to see him grow up and get to know his two older cousins, I hope that we will always be close!
Good luck Josh and Jenn, You are going to need it, but just know that you can call me WHENEVER you want for help, except the middle of the night, that is all you!

Today I am thankful for...

I found this fun little challenge on a friends Blog...

Every day this month until Thanksgiving, think of one thing that you are thankful for and post it on your blog. "Today I am thankful for..."

... Looks fun huh?? lets do it!!

Today I am thankful for Where I live... My cute little Basement apartment on the farm. Avy and I have lived here for a little over a year now, and we just love it. I love the "laundry cave"... the kitchen that is just big enough for me and a curious 4 year old, the piano that is mostly used as shelving, our great neighbors and all of the funny animals that bring so much fun and character to where we live.

... Thats what I think

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
